Olu Productions
Building Community power through youth driven innovation, artistry and entrepreneurship.
Olu Productions envisions a world where Black young people lead with creativity, confidence, and purpose, owning their narratives, shaping culture, and building sustainable futures that honor their heritage and inspire generations to come.

Our Story

Olu Productions began with the determination of Olu Dixon, a 10-year-old
who started selling T-shirts to fund his trip to Kenya. That journey planted
the seed for something bigger a company that would inspire others to dream boldly and build creatively.
The killing of Trayvon Martin gave deeper meaning to this work, using the
T-shirt to spread messages of hope, pride, and self-determination. As Olu Productions grew, it began to create opportunities and spaces for Black
youth where their voices, businesses, and creativity can thrive. Now 21 years old, Olu leads Olu Productions, which powers three thriving arms:
-
UPtimistic Gear — empowering apparel for children, youth, and adults.
-
It’s Never 2 Early 2 Create & Innovate (N2E) — an ecosystem for young entrepreneurs, innovators, and artists, anchored by the downtown N2E Plaza.
-
Olu W. Dixon — Olu’s personal brand as an Actor, Performer, and Teaching Artist, blending artistry with mentorship to inspire the next generation.
Each carries its own identity while being powered by Olu Productions, a company rooted in creativity, community, and cooperative economics, shaping pathways that uplift while creating a lasting impact.
