BIO

Olu WesLee Dixon is a 16 year old bi-costal performing artist living between Seattle Washington and Baltimore Maryland. He has been preparing to be a multifaceted artist since he was three years old when he started dance (Tap, House and Hip-Hop) at NW Tap Connection Mrs. Melba Ayco Director, studied trumpet under the tutelage of Owuor Arunga and JazzED, joined the First AME’s Angel Choir Mrs. Debbie Cavitt Choir Director and was member of the Langston Hughes Summer Teen Musical cast Directed by Mr. Isaiah Thomas. Olu has danced in numerous of performances throughout the Pacific NW Baltimore and Barbados. His love of performing inspired him to audition for the Baltimore School for the Arts (BSA) where he was one of 115 students selected from over 1000 who applied and auditioned landing him in the Theatre Department headed by Rosiland Cauthen. In addition to attending BSA, Olu has continued to flourish and grow, he is taking classes in ballet and voice at the world renown Peabody Institute and is currently mentored by Brinae Ali, Artist Director for Tapology dance studio. Most recently Olu was accepted to New York Conservatory for the Dramatic Arts summer program and plans to attend in 2021.
